Assessment of your cameras and proof of concept

Every Omnicog project starts with the cameras you already have. In the assessment, we review image quality, position, lighting and network at each point against what you want to detect or measure. Then a proof of concept on your own footage shows the result in the field, before any deployment at scale.

How it works, in four steps

  1. Assessment

We review image quality, position, lighting and network of the existing cameras against what you want to detect.

  2. Proof of applicability

We run the analysis on real scenes from your site and measure it against the agreed success criteria.

  3. Deployment

On-premises, central, cloud or hybrid, with rules, alerts, user roles and integrations configured.

  4. Continuous calibration

Rules and models are tuned per camera using the real event history.

What you send

  • What you need to detect, measure or monitor, with the operational problem behind it.
  • The list of cameras and recorders: brand and model, or just the quantity.
  • Images or video clips from each point, by day and by night, if you can.
  • Where alerts and metrics need to go: team, monitoring center, VMS or system.

What you receive

  • Which applications are feasible and on which cameras.
  • What to adjust when a camera is not suitable: angle, distance, light or resolution.
  • The suggested architecture: on site, on a central server, in the cloud or hybrid.
  • The success criteria and the proof of concept plan.

Who it is for

For companies, industries, ports, airports, hospitals, cities and control centers that already have cameras and want alerts, metrics and evidence from them.

For highways and concessionaires, the path is through Omnivias.

Cost and timing

Pricing is on request: it depends on the number of cameras, the events and metrics, where the analysis runs and the integrations. Depending on the size of the project, the assessment and the proof of concept can be free of charge.

Once the agreement is signed by both parties, the proof of concept starts running within 10 days.

Privacy and data protection by design

  • No identification of people by default

Perimeter, counting and flow work without facial recognition. Face features are optional and depend on a legal basis and consent.

  • Role-based access and defined retention

Each role sees only what it needs; retention period and privacy masks are set in the project.

  • On-site processing

Analysis can run on site, only event alerts and clips leave the site, and it keeps working without internet.

Frequently asked questions

What is the camera assessment?

It is the first stage of any Omnicog project: we review the cameras and recorders you already have (image, position, lighting and network) against what you want to detect or measure, and tell you which applications are feasible, on which cameras and what would need to change.

What does the proof of concept look like?

After the assessment, we run the analysis on real scenes from your site, on the chosen cameras, and measure the result against success criteria agreed beforehand, such as correct alerts, counts compared with a reference or response time. Deployment only comes when the application shows value.

What do you need to get started?

To know what needs to be detected, measured or monitored; the list of cameras and recorders (brand and model, or just the quantity); and, if possible, images or video clips from each point, by day and by night.

Do I need to replace cameras or the DVR/NVR?

Usually not. Omnicog reads IP cameras and recorders over RTSP or ONVIF. When a camera is not suitable for an event, the assessment explains why (angle, distance, light, resolution) and the minimum adjustment.

How much does it cost?

Pricing is on request: it depends on the number of cameras, the events and metrics, where the analysis runs and the integrations. Depending on the size of the project, the assessment and the proof of concept can be free of charge.

How long does it take?

Timing varies with the size of the project. Once the agreement is signed by both parties, the proof of concept starts running within 10 days.

Are the images I send protected?

Yes. Images are used only for the assessment, with access restricted to the project team and in line with Brazil’s data protection law (LGPD). There is no need to send data about patients, clients or employees.
