Omnicog

Applications and field experience

Computer Vision applications must be evaluated in the real environment. Here we present examples of how Omnicog technology can be used without turning conceptual scenarios into customer cases that do not exist.

Highways: technology at scale with Omnivias

Omnicog’s experience applying Computer Vision to infrastructure gave rise to Omnivias, a company specializing in highway concessionaires. Omnivias reports more than 1,000 cameras in production with traffic analysis and automatic incident detection solutions.

This is the main public example of the technology operating at scale: production cameras, distributed architecture and AI integrated into highway operations.

Ports: class detection in operational environments

Omnicog has already applied detection of classes such as people, vehicles and equipment in port environments, turning images into context for greater visibility in access areas, yards and work zones.

People flow

Counting, occupancy, dwell time and trajectories can be applied to airports, hospitals, buildings and public spaces, providing information about how the environment is used rather than only recorded video.

Mining and industry

In large operations, cameras can monitor zones, people, vehicles and equipment. Feasibility is assessed with real images because dust, distance, weather and lighting directly affect the application.

What we consider a useful case

A useful case should make the problem, architecture, metrics and operational change clear. When customer names and metrics can be disclosed, they should be presented objectively; when they cannot, we describe the capability without inventing results.
